There were many iterations and revisions on narratives, visuals, and sounds

reflections

Through this project, I not only gained firsthand experience in animation creation but also developed a deep appreciation for the complexities of effective visual communication. I acquired technical skills in After Effects for animation, Illustrator for creating grain-effect images, and Premiere Pro for sound design and editing.

While the visual aspect was crucial, I found narrative development and synchronization to be the most challenging. I learned the importance of storyboarding and the art of highlighting key moments within the overall narrative.

Creating a cohesive visual style was a significant challenge. To achieve this, I employed a consistent color palette with subtle gradients, leveraging Illustrator to enhance visual elements. Additionally, I addressed the challenge of smooth frame transitions by incorporating circular elements inspired by the shape of vinyl records.

These lessons have equipped me to approach future projects, whether in animation, 2D, or 3D, with a focus on efficient and impactful content delivery.

Despite my efforts, there are areas I’d like to improve upon. Reducing the introduction and conclusion of the original narration compromised the overall coherence. Given more time, I would have strengthened the storytelling by addressing these sections. Additionally, my novice-level After Effects skills limited my ability to implement a wider range of animation effects. I am eager to enhance these skills for future projects, aiming to create more polished and engaging animations and designs.
